Falling Fast Below

Ah, the smell of fallen rainThe teardrops on the grassThe beads of lasting painThat never seem to pass

They force me to recallAnd beg me to ariseAs anxious teardrops fallFrom dark and jaded eyes

And so they seem to playAmong the misty fernWhile I just fade awayAnd wait for their return

Sinking deep insideAnd falling fast belowWhere only secrets hideAnd only dreams will go
