Poetry

This Distant Land

This distant land is new to meYet sacred all the sameThe past is but a memoryWhere echoes call my name

And far behind me lies a timeWhen I could barely seeWhen I could only halfway climbThe smallest of the trees

And I have seen a thousand yearsPass by in disarrayAnd watched the moon light fallen tearsThat grace the light of day

And all are lost who disbelieveThat time cannot be savedThat Love cannot be bottled upAnd taken past the grave
