Sad Remembrance

I saw the twilight of my lifeBefore I truly saw the dawnAnd now I sit in sad remembranceOf those seasons that are gone

Waiting for a second chanceWatching countless suns go byPlaying tug of war with timeTo push it higher in the sky

And maybe for a breath or twoSuccess will ease my troubled mindBut what it seems defines the wordI’ve yet to notice or to find
