Poetry

Deluded

I walked upon her wicked wireJust a victim of desireAnd though I lacked a safety ropeMy fear was calmed by foolish hope

Imprisoned by her siren songHer friendly lure was too strongAnd what I thought were angel eyesWere just an ominous disguise

Her lips of guile I have kissedHer potion I could not resistAnd every droplet took from meMy heart and all its rhapsody
